PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-film solar cell which has a simple structure and has a large light-receiving area, and also provide a method for forming the cell. SOLUTION: This thin-film solar cell has a plurality of solar cells each having a conductive base 11, an amorphous silicon electromotive force layer 14 and an upper light-transmitting electrode formed on the base 11. The solar cells are connected in series by conductive connecting members provided therebetween, or connected in series, stacked and contacted at one ends of their upper electrodes with the adjacent cells. Thereby, the cell is able to enlarge light-receiving area, in spite of its simple structure. In a method for forming the thin-film solar cell device, each cell is formed, and then these cells are mutually overlapped so that one ends of the conductive bases 11 make contact with one ends of the adjacent upper electrodes. In this case, by the use of metal indium, the interconnection can be easily realized. |
