<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a price synchronization device and a price synchronization method using an electronic price label(EPL) for electronically displaying the price of merchandise. SOLUTION: A computer terminal 40 reads an audit file 46 so as to obtain the merchandise identification number of the merchandise relating to the EPL 22 from a price change message addressed to the EPL 22, decides the correct price of the merchandise from an EPL data file 32 or a price file 44, sends correct price information to the EPL 22, compares the correct price information with price information displayed by the EPL, then receives a compared result from the EPL, judges whether or not the displayed price information matches with the correct price from the compared result and sends the other price change message including the correct price to the EPL in the case that the correct price does not match with the displayed price.</p> |
