PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical electric connector comprising a terminal for earthing and a terminal for signals manufactured at low cost and arranged in a manner that the front end of the terminal for earthing is protruded more than the front end of the terminal for signals as to bring a counterpart connector into contact with the terminal for earthing and the terminal for signals in this order at the time of fitting connectors. SOLUTION: At the time of fittingly connecting an electric connector 1 with a counterpart connector 60, the front end of a terminal 30 for earthing is arranged to be protruded more than the front end of a terminal 35 for signals as to bring the counterpart connector 60 into contact with the terminal 30 for earthing and the terminal 35 for signals in this order. The terminal 30 for earthing and the terminal 35 for signals are made to have the same shape. A notched part 24 is formed in a part of the rear face 12 of a housing 10 where the terminal 35 for signals is installed while being recessed by the degree B equal to the length A of the projection of the front end of the terminal 30 for earthing from the part of the rear face 12 of the housing 10 where the terminal 35 for signals is installed. |
