PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a demodulation function of a spread spectrum signal and a selective function of a required signal with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: An input electrode consisting of coding electrodes 12 to which a prescribed spread code used for applying spread spectrum processing to a spread spectrum signal is written and an output electrode consisting of a couple of apodized electrodes 13, 14 that transmit only a prescribed frequency band signal are placed on a piezoelectric substrate 11 of a surface acoustic wave element 10 in parallel with a propagation direction of a surface acoustic wave. The input electrode is used to apply inverse spread processing to the spread spectrum signal and provides an output of a correlation peak signal. The output electrode selects a signal with a required frequency band from the received signal and applies synchronization detection to the correlation peak signal and demodulates it. |
