PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To get an error signal even in case that a current over the maximum rating of a motor flows, by outputting an error signal in case that the detected motor current amounts to a fixed number times a control current or over, or a rated current or over, and outputting an error signal when outputting these two signals, and breaking the motor current. SOLUTION: The voltage Vref 327 generated in a motor current reference voltage generator is inputted into an amplifier 328 set to gainα, and the output voltage Va increasesαtimes, and it outputs motor error reference voltage Va329. Then, a comparator 321 compares it with motor current voltage Vf, and outputs a motor error signal ERR1 323. Moreover, a comparator 322 compares it with a motor maximum rated current, and outputs a motor error signal ERR2 324. Then, an ERR3 signal 333 becomes the logical sum between the ERR1 signal 323 and the ERR2 signal 324, and it becomes an abnormality signal. Hereby, this error detector prevents the breakage of a motor or a motor diving circuit, breaking the current source to drive the motor from the base.
