PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an area designating method with which a user easily designates (e.g. at a single touch designation) an image area based on an image identification result of a read original image, an image processor which executes working to an image area that is designated by using it and an image forming device. SOLUTION: This processor contains an image inputting means 1 which input an original image, a characteristic quantity calculating means which calculates the characteristic quantity of an image that is inputted by the image inputting means, an extracting means which extracts an image area from the original image, based on the characteristic quantity that is calculated by the characteristic quantity calculating means, a presenting means which presents a position and its attribute in the original image in the image area which is extracted by the extracting means, an images area selecting means 4 which selects one of image area according to a designated position, when one point is designated based on content that is presented by the presenting means and a working means 5 which works an image area that is selected by the selecting means. |
