PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed lead-acid battery of a negative electrode absorbing type using an expanded grid body having excellent productivity and mechanical strength. SOLUTION: This sealed lead-acid battery is characterized by using, as positive electrode plates, a grid body formed by expanding a lead-calcium-tin alloy sheet having a rate of rolling more than 86.7% and thickness of 2-3 mm. Here, preferably the Ca of the sheet is 0.04-0.08 wt.%, and the Zn is 1.0-2.5 wt.%, or oppressive force of the group of the electrodes composed of the positive electrode plates is set to be 30-80 kg/dm<2> . |
