PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of sorting for every number of copies without using a sorting device such as an exclusive sorter and without deteriorating the efficiency of image forming. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a reading means 120, a storing means 150 storing the image data of a read original, an image processing means 160 executing image processing for the image data stored, an image recording means 190 executing the image forming on recording paper based on the image data where the image processing is performed, a paper feeding means 180 selecting the recording paper placed on the paper feeding trays of plural levels and supplying it to the image recording means 190 and a controlling means 100 controlling the paper feeding means 180 so as to select the recording paper having a short side in a main scanning direction at the time of executing the image forming of either of the first page or Nth page of each set of copies in the case of outputting M sets of copies of the original of N sheets of pages and to select the recording paper having a long side in the main scanning direction at the time of executing the image forming of the other page and to supply it to the image recording means 190 and also controlling the image processing of the image processing means 190 so as to align the direction of the image data read and that of the recording paper. |
