PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display causing no cross talk in a discharge space by setting an irregularity in the longitudinal direction of stripe-like barrier rib apexes to a specific value, and setting an apex line width to a specific value. SOLUTION: An irregularity Y in the longitudinal direction is set to 0.5-10μm, and an apex line width L is set to 5-80μm. L and Y are preferably set to the relation of Y<=(7×L+190)/75. The pitch of barrier ribs is preferably set to 100-250μm, and the height is preferably set to 50-170μm. A paste forming the apexes of the barrier ribs made of glass fine grains and an organic component contains glass powder having the average grain size of 4μm or below, and the softening point of the glass powder in the apex paste is made lower by 10-50 deg.C than that of the glass powder in a paste at barrier rib lower sections. The paste forming the barrier rib apexes is preferably applied by the doctor blade coater method or the slit die coater method. A panel having a stable display with no malfunction is obtained.
