PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the electrophotographic photoreceptor high in sensitivity and improved in potential stability in repeated use and positive charge memory by incorporating a specified fluorene compound as a charge transfer material in a charge transfer layer and a specified azo pigment as a charge generating material in a charge generating layer. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic photoreceptor is provided, on a conductive substrate, with at least 2 layers of the charge generating layer and the charge transfer layer and the charge transfer layer contains the compound represented by formula I, and the charge generating layer contains oxytitanium phthalocyanine and the azo compound represented by formula II and in formula II, A is A1 or the like as shown in formula III and Cp is Cp1 or the like as shown in formula IV. It is especially preferred that the oxytitanium phthalocyanine has peak Bragg angles (2θ±0.2 deg.) at 9.0 deg., 14.2 deg., 23.9 deg. and 27.1 deg. measured by the CuKαcharacteristic X-ray diffraction, thus permitting the repetition characteristics and the positive charge memory to be improved.
