摘要 |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-order dispersion compensator capable of compensating the wavelength dispersion of an optical fiber up to a high-order term of dispersion in a wide wavelength region. SOLUTION: The compensator determining the wavelength dispersion function through differentiation with respect to the wavelength of a series partial sum obtained by Taylor expansion, up to an arbitrary degree, of the group delay amount of the optical fiber in the wavelength with zero dispersion wavelength as the center inverting the sign of the wavelength dispersion function to form a sign inverted function and compensate the wavelength dispersion of the group delay amount of the opical fiber using a chirp fiber grating regards the functional relation expressed by the sign inverted function as wavelength dispersion characteristics. |
