PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate temperature dependency and enable wavelength control even after an element is formed, by providing a resonator constituted of two multilayer film reflection mirrors, a surface light emitting part comprising an active layer interposed between the multilayer film reflection mirrors, and a waveguide path part which introduces induced light to a surface light emitting part in an area near a surface light emitting part. SOLUTION: A waveguide path part 13 is formed in an area near a surface light emitting part 14. Induced light 11 is generated in the waveguide path part 13 by injecting a current to a waveguide path electrode 6, carrier distribution of an active layer changes to the surface light emitting part 14 by injecting the light 11 to the surface light emitting part 14, and gain spectrum changes. The change depends on wavelength and strength of the induced light 11 and gain spectrum can be also controlled by changing the strength, etc. Furthermore, combination with light emitting mode of the surface light emitting part 14 is generated by controlling strength of the induced light 11, and oscillation wavelength of laser beam 10 also changes and can be used as a wavelength change light source. Strength of the induced light 11, etc., are controlled by a voltage applied to the electrode 6. |
