PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the wastage of a recording medium and developer by providing an image forming device with a mode (test printing mode) to test image output on trial basis with a few sheets of the recording medium on reducing image size prior to normal image output. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a mode setting means to be set in a normal mode for forming the image of an inputted group of image data for plural pages on a recording medium for plural pages and in a test output mode (test printing mode) to form the images on a recording medium with fewer pages than the plural pages on reducing the image size prior to the image output in the normal mode, to confirm an output result and to switch the normal mode and the test output mode. From example, the image forming device 2 is provided with a test printing mode key 4, a blank page output mode key 5 and an image data reduction mode key 7, etc. The test printing mode key 4 is used for setting the test printing mode, and the blank page output mode key 5 is used for setting a blank page output mode for detecting a blank page. |
