<p>A method for controlling the surface characteristics of a molded product by using a thermoplastic granule having a varied particle size distribution and a varied mean diameter particle. For a 'coarse' surface, the mean diameter may be 5 to 7 microns, the largest particle DL can range from 10 to 44 microns with a smallest particle Ds range from 0.25 to 1 micron. For a 'smooth' surface, the mean diameter of the mineral particulate may be 0.7 to 1.5 microns, the largest particle DL can range from 1 to 9.9 microns with a smallest particle Ds range from 0.1 to 0.5 micron. The concentration of the mineral particulate in granule may be 85 % to 92 % by weight of the granule.</p> |
