A heat-resistant material for office automation equipment and a coating material, which are usable particularly suitably for the facing of a fixing roller or belt and which comprise a multisegment fluoropolymer not only exhibiting flexibility but also being excellent in heat resistance, wear resistance, adhesiveness against toner and oil resistance. The multisegment fluoropolymer is one comprising an elastomeric fluoropolymer chain segment (A) and a nonelastomeric fluoropolymer chain segment (B), the segment (A) being one capable of imparting flexibility to the whole of the multisegment fluoropolymer, and perhaloolefin units account for at least 90 mole % of the constituent units of the segment (A).
