The current control stages (C1, C2) are coupled to the supply (Vcc) via a load (L). The inputs to the current control stages are provided by amplifiers (A1,A2) supplied by constant current stages (CS1,CS2). One amplifier provides high amplification and the other low amplification, so offering a means of variable amplification.
