PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toy with a position reporting function that can be operated easily, communicates interactively, and reports a position like a mascot. SOLUTION: A toy 1 with a position reporting function is provided with a GPS receiver 4 for measuring a position, a database for storing the name and position of a characteristic target, a voice-synthesis circuit 7 for synthesizing voice based on position information from the GPS receiver 4 and storage information of the database, a speaker 8 for reporting output from the voice-synthesis circuit 7 to a user, and a controller 2 for managing information of the database 6 and at the same time the voice-synthesis circuit 7. In the toy 1 that reports a user's position by voice synthesis, the controller 2 asks the user about a position and the user responds to a question by operation switches 10, 11, and 12. |
