A play figure assembly (10) including play figures (12, 14, 60, 62) of generally uniform thickness that include both hook-type and pile-type hook-and-pile fabric segments. The segments are attached around a peripheral rim (26) of each play figure and allow an assembler to removably attach each play figure to any one or more of the other play figures (12, 14, 60, 62).
