<p>A carrier reproduction circuit that performs stabilized operation even when receiving low C/N signals. Carrier reproduction is carried out by a method, wherein the phase of a demodulated received signal of a known pattern is detected by a frame sync timing circuit (4); based on the detected phase of the received signal, a phase error table of either an absolute phase or the absolute phase shifted by 180 degrees is selected according to a phase convergence point in a phase error detector (8) for carrier reproduction; the output based on the difference in phase between the phase obtained from the arrangement of the received signal points and the phase convergence point is obtained from the selected table; and the frequency of the reproduction carrier is controlled by an AFC circuit (10) so that the phase obtained from the signal point arrangement may coincide with the phase convergence point.</p> |
