A locking tab (6) located at one end of a base panel channel (10) for receiving two opposing blister flanges (15, 16) is itself used to receive a further two opposing blister flanges (17, 18). These further two flanges are inserted between the top and bottom sheets (1, 3) forming the base panel at the opposite end of the channel to the locking tab, and the distance with which one of these two flanges is inserted is no greater than the width of the locking tab. A blister (2) is formed by a tray comprising a thin, rigid plastic material with a container part and a flange section extending around at least most of the blister periphery. The double base panel comprises top and bottom sheets, between which are channels with open length sides in the top sheet facing towards the centre of the packaging, used to receive two opposing blister flanges. The channel walls are formed by both sheets and the actual channels extend along two opposite side edges of the base panel. |
