摘要 The invention concerns a method which consists in producing a fibrous structure by layering fibrous texture strata and mutually linking the strata by needle-bonding, such that the layered fibre strata extend substantially in orthogonal first (X) and second (Y) directions, the strata being mutually linked by fibres displaced in a third direction (Z) relative to the strata by the needle-bonding, and a piston preform is cut out in the needle-bonded structure such that one of the first and second directions (X, Y) is parallel to the generators of the preform surface corresponding to the piston lateral cylindrical surface. The preform is densified at least partially by the material constituting the composite material matrix and the piston is machined in the densified preform.
