<p>The invention concerns a saturable absorbent passive Q-switched laser cavity with controlled polarisation, and a laser, in particular a microlaser comprising said cavity and means for pumping said cavity. The invention also concerns a method for making said microlaser. The laser cavity with controlled polarisation comprises a substrate made of an active Y3Al5O12 (YAG) laser material doped or not, whereon is directly deposited by epitaxy in liquid phase or by any other similar process, a monocrystalline layer of YAG-doped saturable absorbent material, wherein said active laser material is oriented [100], and said monocrystalline layer of adsorbent saturable material is deposited along the same orientation [100].</p> |
