<p>The present invention relates to methods and devices for the contactless scanning of information from a memory, wherein said invention can for example be used in computer devices for reading information, in functional elements for electronic applications, in integral-optics devices, in magneto-optical and non-linear optical systems, in optical connection systems as well as in the nodes of opto-electronic calculation devices. This information reading method comprises radiating the information medium with a probing radiation at a frequency φ and measuring the parameters of the output radiation at frequencies n φ, wherein n≥2 and is a positive integer (harmonics of the probing radiation). The information reading device of the present invention includes the following members: an optical system for generating light beams (the quantity of which N≥1) and for directing the same onto the information medium; means for polarising the radiation, for rotating the polarisation plane and for scanning with the light beams either the surface or the volume of the information medium so as to read said information; and photo-receptors as well as analysers of the output radiation for measuring the intensity as well as other parameters of said output radiation at a frequency n φ, wherein n≥2 and is a positive integer.</p> |
