<p>The device has one or more adjusting screws (20,30) passing through the top component (1) engage in tapped holes (33) in the bottom one (2). The components are secured together, and preloaded to a predetermined degree, at a point clear of the adjusting screw. The faces (3,5) of the components towards each other can be flat and parallel, while the screw can be at right angles to the bottom face (3) of the top component. A bolt (10) can permanently secure the components together permanently, the shank being enclosed by a spring providing the preloading.</p> |
