There comprises a battery body arranged at the rear of an upper rotating body; an electric motor arranged forwardly of and in the vicinity of the battery body; a hydraulic pump connected to the electric motor a working oil tank arranged in the vicinity of the hydraulic pump; and a directional control valve for an actuator arranged in the vicinity of the hydraulic pump. Thereby, a power energy of a battery-driven construction machine can be utilized efficiently.
