<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve maintenance capability of the inverter by allowing to put it in and out easily without being interfered by wiring or tubing in a vehicle provided with an electric motor for traveling the vehicle and an inverter installed in the electric circuit thereof. SOLUTION: A cooling jacket is provided in an inverter 2, while a main passage 15 for coolant is provided at a vehicle. This unit comprises an inverter compartment 1 that stores the inverter 2 so that it allows to put in and out the inverter easily, a connector 7 for tubing that interconnects the main passage 15 and the cooling jacket at the inverter 2 storing position and that is separable along a drawer of the inverter 2, a locking means 9 that fixes the inverter 2 to the inverter compartment 1 of the vehicle at its storing position, a stop cock 20 that opens/closes the tubing to the main passage 15 interlocked with locking/releasing operation of the locking means, a cut-off valve that automatically closes the tubing to the cooling jacket following a separation of the connector 7 for tubing, and a connector 6 for wiring that engages an electrode at the inverter 2 and another electrode at the power supply and an electric motor for vehicle running at the inverter storing position in an engaged manner, and is separable accompanying the drawer of the inverter 2.</p> |
