PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an insecticide capable of exhibiting accurate controlling effect on injurious insects without giving phytotoxicity to culturing plants by including a specific heterocyclic compound as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This insecticide is obtained by including (A) a heterocyclic compound of the formula (A is 5-pyridyl or 5-thiazolyl whose second position is be substituted with chlorine or methyl; Z<1> is a straight-chain three members of CH2 , O and S and one of Z<1> is O or S and residual two members are CO2 ; R<2> is H, a 1-4C alkyl or 2-chloropyridin-5-ylmethyl; Y is nitro or cyano) and (B) as necessary, a developing agent, a surfactant, etc. The insecticide can be used for controlling a wide range of various insect pests, injurious liquid- absorbing insect pests, biting insect pests and the other insect pests which are parasitic on plants, insect pests of store substance, sanitary insect pests and can be applied for extermination and eradication of these insect pests. |
