PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermosetting resin composition having an improved heat conductivity and excellent heat-resistant characteristics and a coil for rotating equipment using the composition. SOLUTION: This thermosetting resin composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a thermosetting resin having a heat-resistant life equal to class F (155 deg.C) or higher than it in a heat-resistant life evaluation test prescribed by UL1,446 and (B) 10-50 pts.wt. of an inorganic filler and a material obtained by compounding the component A with the component B and curing the mixture has >=15×10<-4> calcium/cm.s deg.C heat conductivity. The coil for a rotating equipment is subjected to an insulating treatment by using the thermosetting resin composition.
