MANUFACTURE OF SPHERICAL FINE PARTICLE OF CELLULOSE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a spherical fine particle of a cellulose which gives easy handling and pays consideration to safe during use and environment. SOLUTION: An alkali type cellulose solution and a water soluble polysaccharide are mixed in a way such that the amount of the water soluble polysaccharide is at least 3 pts.wt. per 1 pt.wt. of the cellulose contained in the alkali type cellulose solution. Then, a drop having the alkali type cellulose solution as a major component is formed, followed by coagulation and regeneration thereof to produce a spherical fine particle of the cellulose having a diameter of 1-100μm.
