<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an air conditioner having excellent deodor performance by incorporating a deodor element provided with a photocatalytic layer being irradiated with UV-rays to decompose odorous components. SOLUTION: A deodor element 15 is disposed on a blow-out channel 14 on the downstream side of a fan 11 in a ventilation passage from indoor air inlets 5, 6 to an air outlet 9. Since the air flowing through the blow-out channel 14 has high current velocity, the quantity of air flowing while touching deodor element 15 is increased per unit time. Consequently, the entire indoor air can be deodorized in a shorter time and deodor performance is enhanced and since a desired deodor performance can be sustained even if the deodor element is reduced in size manufacturing cost can be decreased while making compact the entirety.</p> |
