BATTERY SUPPORTING STRUCTURE IN ELECTRIC VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the floor panel height while ensuring a minimum ground clearance of an electric vehicle that is provided with an attachable/detachable battery box under a floor panel. SOLUTION: A battery box 9 is formed in a tray-like shape provided with a bottom wall 91 that supports a battery 10 and a side wall 92 that extends upward from the circumference of the bottom wall 91 . A fixing flange 93 horizontally extending from the upper edge of the side wall 92 is attachably/detachably fixed with a bolt 38 to the bottom surfaces of left and right side frames 1L and 1R that are fixed to the bottom surface of a floor panel 36, respectively. The inside surfaces of the side frames 1L and 1R and the bottom surface of the floor panel 36 function as a lid of the battery box 9, which eliminates the necessity of exclusively installing a lid for the battery box 9. This has enabled to reduce the weight and to lower the floor with the minimum ground clearance ensured.
