SOLUTION: In the case when the ordinary travelling where the control of the distance between cars is permitted, is judged (YES in S241 or YES in S242), the operation of the learning degree counter Cv is performed (S250). When the electronic controller for controlling the distance between cars is started and this is the first time (YES in S260), the interim steering angle neutral position So is set to a steering angle neutral position Sc to be learned as the initial value (S270). Then the learning operation of the steering angle neutral position Sc is performed (S290). Thereafter, the steering angle neutral positions Sc are learned every time when the measured steering angle is obtained. Thus, almost every angle is utilized in the learning in the ordinary travelling in a state that the control of the distance between cars is permitted.</p>
