PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe jacking machine which is equipped with a direction correcting function nearly equal to that of a pipe jacking machine of middle fold type and in which equipment contained in the top guiding body involve no risk of interfering with the surrounding objects at the time of direction correction. SOLUTION: The natural ground is excavated by a cutter head 12 while a top guiding body is propelled, and at the same time, a viscosity giving liquid is injected into the excavated earth and sand to produce a muddy soil having plastic fluidity, and the muddy soil is sent backward and part thereof is taken into the top guiding body to be discharged onto the ground while the remainder is led to the periphery of a buried pipe attached to the tail of the top guiding body. The top guiding body comprises an inner pipe 1 having in front a cutter head 14 and fitted with a buried pipe in the backmost and front inner cylinder 2 and rear inner cylinder 3 having a spacing to the periphery of the inner pipe 1 and attached to the inner pipe 1 swingably in the diametric direction, and the front outer cylinder 2 is fitted swingably to the rear outer cylinder 3, and thereby the front outer cylinder 2 is swung interlocking with swings of the rear outer cylinder 3 when it 3 is swung by a jack 4, and thus it is possible to correct the jacking direction of the top guiding body. |
