PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw extruder, between split barrels of which no leakage of a liquid occurs by a method wherein a relative expanding and contracting action between the split barrels and tie rods, which develops during kneading, is absorbed. SOLUTION: In a screw extruder having a barrel formed by clamping a split barrel 11 group from both ends of a plurality of tie rods 14 passing through from one end to the other end of a plurality of the split barrels 11, each of which internally has a material conveying chamber 9 communicating to its axis center direction and which are arranged to its axis center direction, elastic members 20, which energe pressing forces to the axis center direction to the barrel, are interposingly inserted at least one end parts of the tie rods 14. |
