PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polypropylene-based resin composition for a holder of a writing instrument such as a penholder and so on which exhibits well-balanced transparency, and stiffness and shock resistance, and excellent in hot stamping properties. SOLUTION: With (A) 100 pts.wt. of a polypropylene resin with an MFR of 20-55 g/10 min prepared by degradation of a crystalline polypropylene having a titanium content of 1 ppm or less, a melt flow rate(MFR) of 1-7 g/10 min and a heat of fusion (ΔHm) obtained by the differential scanning calorimetry, which satisfies, with the MFR, the relational expression:ΔHm>=24.50+1.583 log MFR, (B) 0.05-0.3 pts.wt. of a sorbitol compound is admixed as a clarifying agent.
