RANDOM-BLOCK COPOLYMER AND MONOFILAMENT OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a random-block copolymer having a proper hydrolyzing properties and excellent softness and mechanical strength and monofilaments thereof and the production method of the copolymer. SOLUTION: The random-block copolymer containing 5-50 mole % of random copolymer segment comprising 20-80 mole % of a lactide unit (A) and 80-20 mole % of caprolactone unit (B) and 50-95 mole % of the block polymer segment having glucolide unit (C), gives monofilaments having excellent softness and mechanical strength.
