PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively produce a large-sized membrane element such as a thermal head or the like so as not to generate irregularity in a printing image especially in the thermal head. SOLUTION: A transfer film 29 wherein a resistor material is is uniformly formed on a flexible support is provided on a substrate 21 so that the surface on the side of the resistor material thereof is closely brought into contact with the support and the resistor material of the transfer film 29 is transferred only to the predetermined part of the substrate 21 by locally supplying heat or light to the support to form a pattern.
