PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive transfer ribbon which prevents an ID card and a passport or the like from being forged, especially, prevents forgeries such as replacement of an image or the like from being committed, and an image forming method using the same. SOLUTION: For this heat-sensitive transfer ribbon wherein on a supporting body 2, yellow Y, magenta M, cyan C regions, depending on a case, a black region BK, which can be thermal-transferred, are alternately formed in the longitudinal direction, in each region, a fluorescent region F comprising a transparent fluorescent ink is added, and also, by using a thermal transfer ribbon 1 wherein respective regions comprise pigment inks which form color and black- and-white images, in an image area of the base material of an IC card or a passport or the like, a color image is formed by a thermal-transfer with the pigment inks which form the yellow, magenta, cyan regions of the heat-sensitive transfer ribbon, and on the color image or the whole body of the base material, a pattern with the transfer fluorescent ink which forms the fluorescent region F is formed by transferring, and a protective layer which protects the color image or the whole body is formed. |
