摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a polyester film for metal lamination having an excellent formability in, for example, a deep drawing process, and excellent in heat resis tance, impact resistance and property of retaining taste and flavor. SOLUTION: This polyester film is a biaxially oriented film of a polyester copolymer an ethylene terephthalate as a main repeated unit and a melting point of 210-245 deg.C. The polyester film has a maximum of peak temperatures of loss modulus (Te) and a glass transition temperature (Tg) determined by DSC measurement respectively satisfying formulas I and II, an X-ray diffraction intensity ratio which satisfies formula III, and a subpeak temperature, determined by DSC measurement, of 150-205 deg.C. formula I: Tg>=78; formula II: Te-Tg<=30 (Wherein Tg is a glass transition temperature( deg.C) determined by DSC measurement after heat melting at 290 deg.C - quenching, and Te is a maximum of peak temperatures of loss modulus ( deg.C).), formula III: 0.10<=I(1-10)<=I(100)<=0.40 (Wherein I(100) is an X-ray diffraction intensity at a (100) surface parallel to the film surface, I(1-10) is an X-ray diffraction intensity at a (1-10) surface parallel to the film surface, and I(1-10)/I(100) is an X-ray diffraction intensity ratio.).
