摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the lift received by a rudder plate within a range of a small rudder angle to improve the ruddering performance and a thrust, by curving a rear part of the rudder plate within a range where the rotational component in the propeller slip stream gets near, in a direction for inviting the propeller slip stream. SOLUTION: To curve a rear part of a rudder plate 24 into the direction for inviting the approaching slip stream, a lower part with respect to a shaft center of a propeller is curved to a starboard side at a right side face of the rudder plate 24, and an upper part is curved to a port side at the left side face. When the rudder plate 24 of a rudder 20 is controlled right at a rudder angleα, the stream is shifted left by an inflow angleβ(=α) at an upper part of the rudder plate 24, and the flow velocity of the right side face of the rudder plate 24 becomes higher than that of the left side face, whereby the lift F1 toward the right direction having the force for the change of direction f1 and the advance thrust f2 is generated. Further the stream is shifted right by the inflow angleβat a lower part of the rudder plate 24, so that the stream at the left side face of the rudder plate 24 becomes faster than that of the right side face, whereby the lift F2 toward the left direction is generated. Whereby the lift of F1 -F2 can be contributed as the force for the change of direction.
