METHOD FOR TREATING CLEAN WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating clean water wherein when suspended matter substances are drawn out of a tank, only the suspended matter substances can be selectively drawn out without being accompanied by active carbon. SOLUTION: A filter membrane unit 3 is immersed in an original water in a treating tank 1 and particulate active carbon 2 on the surface of which aerobic microorganisms are stuck is immersed on the outside of the filter membrane unit 3 in the treating tank 1. Air is blown into the original water below the filter membrane unit 3 to generate a circulation flow of water which ascends in the filter membrane unit 3 and descends its outside in the treating tank 1 by air lift effect. Making hazardous substances harmless by decomposition in the original water and removal of suspended matter substances are performed thereby. A supporting material 12 including a porous plate for preventing the active carbon 2 from descending is disposed in the descending flow path for the original water and the active carbon 2 is packed on the supporting material 12.
