PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition, excellent in bleaching power, low in gas generation by the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide even after preservation at a high pH for a long period of time, having excellent storage stability, by including hydrogen peroxide, an alkaline earth metal salt and phenol (derivative) in a specific composition. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) 0.1-30 wt.%, preferably 2-10 wt.%, more preferably 2-6 wt.% of hydrogen perioxide, (B) 0.001-1 wt.%, preferably 0.01-0.3 wt.% of an alkaline earth metal salt (preferably calcium chloride, magnesium chloride or magnesium sulfate) and (C) 0.01-10 wt.%, preferably 0.05-1 wt.% of phenol or its derivative [a compound having preferably <=1.25 V, more preferably <=0.95 V further more preferably <=0.75 V standard oxidation potential (0.P.)0 ]. Even if the composition is packed into an inexpensive container such as a plastic, the container has no fear of swelling and damage, and the composition has excellent economic efficiency. |
