PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water soluble processing oil agent capable of effectively controlling the emulsification of a lubricant for material to be processed mingling with the water soluble processing oil agent a grease or the like, and the generation of rust, corrosion of and elution of metal ions from the material to be processed by containing a specific quaternary ammonium salt-based cationic emulsion resistant agent. SOLUTION: This water soluble processing oil agent contains a quaternary ammonium salt-based cationic emulsion resistant agent having a middle fatty acid residue as a pair ion in a content of 0.01-30 wt.%, preferably 0.1-10 wt.%. As the emulsion resistant agent, e.g. a polymer of a quaternary ammonium salt of a vinyl-based monomer containing at least one cationic nitrogen, more concretely a quaternary ammonium salt of an N,N-dialkylaminoethyl(meth) acrylate polymer expressed by the formula [R1 is H or methyl; R2 to R4 are each a 1-5C alkyl; X is a halogen; (n) is 6-60,000] is cited, and an average molecular weight of the polymer is 300-10,000,000, preferably 300-100,000. |
