PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject cosmetic, compatible with hair when applied and making the hair dampish by including, e.g. a specific basic amino acid derivative (salt), and neutral amino acid (salt) and/or low-molecular-weight betaine. SOLUTION: This cosmetic contains (A) 0.01 to 10 wt.% of a basic amino acid derivative (salt) shown by formula I [R<1> is a 8-22C straight-chain or branched alkyl or alkenyl; (j) is 0 or 1; X is H or a substituent shown by formula II (R<2> is a 8-22C straight-chain or branched alkyl or alkenyl; and (n) is 0 or 1); (k) is 0 to 5; and Y is a substituent shown by formula III ((m) is 1 to 5; and Z is a substituent, e.g. NH2 , or shown by formula IV or V) when (k) is 0 and amino when K is 1 to 5], (B) 0.001 to 10 wt.% of (i) a neutral amino acid (salt), e.g. glycine and/or (ii) a low-molecular-weight betaine, e.g. trimethyl glycine, and, as required, (C) a nonionic surfactant, e.g. polyoxyethylene alkyl ether. |
