PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fibrous structure capable of more efficiently shielding and shutting off infrared rays. SOLUTION: This fibrous structure has a laminated structure comprising the first material having an optical refractive index na and a thickness da and alternately laminated on the second material having an optical refractive index nb and a thickness db in the cross-sectional direction perpendicular to the major axis of the fibrous structure in the uniaxial direction in the thickness direction in the fibrous structure having the major axis in a uniaxial direction. In the fibrous structure,λ1 defined by formula (1)λ1=2(nada + nbdb)... (1) satisfies formula (2)λ1>=0.78μm... (2) under conditions of 1.0<=na<1.8... (a), 1.3<=nb<=1.8... (b) and 1.01<=nb/na<=1.8... (c).
