PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a subject to take a natural position during measurement and prevent the position from changing during measurement. SOLUTION: A pair of grip parts 12, each having an application electrode for applying a high-frequency signal to the body of a subject via the palm of the hand and a measuring electrode for measuring body resistance potential, are separably connected via lead wires 15 to a main body part 11 which displays the ratio of body fat calculated on the basis of in-body impedance obtained from a current passed between the application electrodes and from the body resistance potential between the measuring electrodes. The subject can take measurements while taking a natural position with the elbows straightened and the arms lowered, by placing the main body part 11 on a stable place such as a pedestal 16, holding the grip parts 12 in both hands, and separating the grip parts 12 from the main body part 11. |
