POLYMERIC GEL ELECTROLYTE AND SECONDARY BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain a polymeric gel electrolyte with excellent electrolyte solution preservability at high temperatures as well as good balance between high ionic conductivity and excellent mechanical properties. SOLUTION: This polymeric gel electrolyte is composed of a matrix polymer and an electrolyte solution included in the matrix and prepared by dissolving an ionic compound in a non-aqueous organic solvent; wherein the matrix polymer is such one that a polymer network is formed through dispersing the compounds (1) and (2) described below in a vinylidene fluoride polymer followed by performing a polymerization: (1) a compound containing two or more polymerizable functional groups in the identical molecule, and (2) a compound bearing a polymerizable functional group and an oxyalkylene group.
