PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further expand a crushable zone and improve maneuverability of an electric vehicle where front wheels are driven by a motor. SOLUTION: Driving force of a motors 5 driven by a battery 10 is transmitted to front wheels WFL and WFR via a reduction gear 6 and differential gears 7. Since the motor 5 and the reduction gear 6 are arranged toward the rear of the vehicle compared to the differential gears 7, the vehicle body in front of the differential gears 7 is made to effectively function as a crushable zone in case of a head-on collision. In addition, the mid-ship layout where the heavy motor 5 and reduction gear 6 are arranged near the center of the vehicle contributes to improvement in maneuverability of a vehicle. |
