PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a pneumatic tires capable of maintaining low heat build-up without reducing abrasion resistance and, in addition, enhancing the braking properties on wet road surfaces and the control stability under any conditions regardless of types of cars in which an anti-lock brake system(ABS) is installed or not (i.e., lock brake cars). SOLUTION: As a tire tread rubber, a rubber composition comprising 100 pts.wt. rubber component containing at least 70 pts.wt. styrene-butadiene rubber having a styrene content of 20-60% and at least one type of inorganic powder having a particle diameter of 0.01-10μm which is selected from aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide and clay and silica, in an amount of the sum of the inorganic powder and the silica of 10-75 pts.wt., with a weight ratio of the inorganic powder to the silica of not smaller than 0.3 and the acetone extract content after vulcanization being 5-55 pts.wt. is used.
