METHOD FOR SEPARATING LAYER OF LAMINATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of separating a layer of a laminate for enabling reuse of each layer constituting a sheet-like laminate such as building interior material and the like. SOLUTION: At least one layer of a sheet-like laminate consisting of a plurality of layers is cut and separated by a wide-width rotative body 5 having a cutting edge 4 on an outer circumference 5a. The sheet-like laminate comprises at least a base 1 selected from the group of paper, textile, knit item, nonwoven fabric and glass fiber mat and a pattern forming layer made of foamed or nonfoamed synthetic resin. A surface layer 2 comprises a base 1 of paper and a pattern forming layer of foamed vinyl chloride based composition. At least one layer of the sheet-like laminate is continuously cut and separated along a longitudinal direction by a cutting-separating device 6 provided with a rotative body 5, a transfer mechanism 8 for transferring the sheet-like laminate to a rotative body 5 side and a takeover mechanism 9 for taking over the laminate after cut and separation.
